A cargo plane crashes near Louisville Airport in the United States
The US Federal Aviation Administration announced that a cargo plane crashed on Tuesday near Louisville Airport in Kentucky (central eastern United States) shortly after take-off.
The administration reported that “UPS Flight 2976 crashed at approximately 17:15 local time,” noting that the plane was a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 and was heading to Hawaii.
