The Bank of Libya and the United Nations Development Program are discussing enhancing cooperation

 The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Naji Issa, discussed with the delegation of the United Nations Development Program the strategic projects of the program in Libya, and ways of cooperation in developing the public sector, public finance, and combating corruption and money laundering.

 

The bank mentioned in a statement carried by Al-Wasat TV: Al-Libi said that the two parties discussed ways to enhance institutional development, build capabilities, and accelerate digital transformation by taking advantage of artificial intelligence techniques in accordance with the objectives of the National Strategic Plan for Financial Inclusion.

 

The two parties discussed the mechanism of supporting small and medium enterprises, enhancing financial inclusion and digitization, and developing capabilities in the fields of financial and economic modeling and analysis, and they agreed to move towards signing a memorandum of understanding between the bank and the program after completing technical studies and reviewing relevant international experiences. The connection.

 

It is noteworthy that the program delegation included the Assistant Secretary-General and Regional Director for Arab Countries, Dr. Abdullah Al-Dardiri, and his resident representative in Libya, Sophie Kimkhadze.
