Schools stress that students must complete and submit assignments to avoid losing their grades

The administrations of a number of public schools have stressed to students the importance of completing and handing in academic assignments, as well as the necessity of regular attendance during the current week, explaining that repeated absences or failure to complete assignments and evaluation papers will lead to a loss of grades for those assignments or exams, which will negatively reflect on the students’ final results.
Last week
The administrations confirmed in letters to parents and students, seen by Emirates Today, that the current week is considered the “last” for completing all the students’ continuous assessment tasks and exams, before the start of the end-of-semester exams for the current academic year 2025-2026, indicating that the grades will then be finally approved in preparation for issuing the students’ final reports.
Required tasks
The administrations reported that male and female teachers had previously communicated with the concerned students and their parents regarding the required assignments, but some cases have not shown any response yet, which requires serious cooperation from families to ensure that their children complete the remaining academic requirements on time.
No extension of the calendar period
The schools confirmed that the period of continuous evaluation or reopening of grades will not be extended after this week, calling on parents to monitor their children’s attendance and ensure that all required assignments and projects are submitted before closing the system and approving the final results.
Fair final evaluation
The administrations also alerted that in the event of a chronic medical excuse or a special health condition, the student must come to school and complete the required evaluation sheet or assignment, ensuring that he receives a fair final evaluation, noting that failure to attend or submit will lead to the permanent loss of the grade.
Cooperation and appreciation
School administrations concluded their statements with their appreciation for parents’ cooperation and constant concern for their children’s interests, stressing that discipline in attendance and commitment to completing assessments reflects awareness and shared responsibility between the school and family to achieve the best educational results.
