“Industry” launches mining complexes to compete in Riyadh and Mecca

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has put forward a number of mining complexes for competition in the Riyadh and Makkah regions.
This comes within the framework of its endeavor to govern the mining sector, enhance its transparency, stimulate investment, and develop local communities adjacent to mining projects.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Jarrah Al-Jarrah, said that the complexes designated for competition include two complexes in the Riyadh region, namely the South Dalam Sand Ore Complex. In Dalam Governorate, with an area of 2.48 square kilometers, and an ore sand and aggregates complex south of Al-Ha’ir in the city of Riyadh, with an area of 15.23 square kilometers.
It also includes a complex for sand and aggregates in Jubaiha in Khulais Governorate in the Makkah Region, with an area of 45.57 square kilometers.
Al-Jarrah stated that the period for receiving applications extends from November 23 2025 to December 11, 2025, via the platform "mining" Digital.
He pointed out that the stages of the competition include registering in the competition, qualifying the competitors, then launching the bidding process, and announcing the results of the bidding and the names of the winning companies.
The Ministry aims, by allocating mining complexes, to encourage investment in the mining sector, enhance governance standards, protect mining sites from irregular encroachments, in addition to developing the areas adjacent to the sites of mining activities.
