Hundreds of US flights canceled as a result of the government shutdown


US airlines canceled hundreds of Flights nationwide, in response to the US Federal Aviation Administration’s order to reduce Air traffic at the country’s busiest airport due to the government shutdown.

Nearly 700 scheduled flights have been cancelled, according to FlightAware, a website that tracks flight disruptions, and the number is likely to quadruple within days.
Forty airports in more than two dozen states have been selected to reduce air traffic, including Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Charlotte, and some Metropolitan areas, including New York, Houston, Chicago, and Washington.

The Federal Aviation Administration aims to reduce service by 10% in all markets "Large size" To maintain the safety of travel, airlines plan to implement the reductions gradually.
