GAZA, 9th November, 2017 (WAM) – The Emirati Field Hospital in the city of Rafah received a delegation from the World Health Organization, on a visit aimed at following up on the field medical efforts implemented by the UAE within Operation “The Gallant Knight 3”, and within the framework of strengthening coordination and ongoing cooperation mechanisms to support the health sector in Gaza.
During the visit, the delegation received medicines and medical supplies provided by the UAE, in order to support health facilities in the Gaza Strip and meet the urgent needs of the sick and injured in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions.
The delegation was also briefed on the hospital’s departments and equipment, its work mechanism, the services it provides to Palestinian patients and injured, and what Operation “Gallant Knight 3” provides to serve the residents of the Gaza Strip.
The delegation praised the prominent humanitarian and medical role played by the UAE in the Gaza Strip, and the Emirati medical personnel working in the field hospital and their efforts to provide care and treatment to the wounded and sick.
