Power outages in Tehran and neighboring areas aiming to target energy facilities

The Iranian Ministry of Energy announced that the capital Tehran, the surrounding areas and Alborz Province witnessed on Sunday Power outages after attacks targeting facilities belonging to the electricity sector.

State television quoted the ministry as saying that the power was cut off in these areas, and that it was making efforts to solve the problem.

US President Donald Trump had previously threatened to strike Iranian energy facilities if Tehran did not agree to negotiate a peace agreement, but he came back and repeatedly extended the deadline set for this purpose.
