Zero delivery bike accidents in Ajman within 6 months

The Ajman Police General Command has achieved a qualitative achievement in its efforts to enhance traffic safety on the emirate’s roads, represented by achieving “zero accidents” for delivery bikes six months after the Traffic and Patrols Department launched the “Safe Path” traffic awareness campaign, during the year 2025.

Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid Bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, said that traffic statistics showed a significant decrease in delivery bike accident rates by 56% compared to the period preceding the campaign, as the number of serious accidents decreased from 6 to 0, and minor accidents from 1 to 0, which reflects the positive impact of the campaign in raising the level of traffic awareness among delivery bike drivers, and enhancing compliance with traffic regulations and laws.

Lieutenant Colonel Rashid bin Hindi explained that all recorded accidents were classified as damaged, and not caused by delivery bike drivers themselves, which reflects the high level of traffic discipline among this category after intensifying awareness programs and field follow-up.

He added that the Ajman Smart Safety House system monitored 6,201 traffic violations related to dangerous behavior by bike drivers, with 107 motorcycles impounded as a result of serious violations such as driving against the direction of traffic, or in prohibited places, or in a way that endangers the lives of drivers and road users, stressing that Ajman Police continues to monitor and control negative behaviors in order to preserve lives and property.

The Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department pointed out that the “Safe Path” campaign came within the efforts of the Ajman Police General Command within the framework of the Ministry of Interior’s strategy aimed at making roads safer and supporting the Ajman 2030 vision in enhancing the quality of life. He stressed the continuation of the campaign during the next phase through field awareness, smart monitoring, and cooperation with delivery companies to ensure a safe and sustainable traffic environment.
