The conclusion of the International Translation Forum in Riyadh… 3 days that embodied Saudi leadership


Yesterday evening, the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority concluded the activities of International Translation Forum 2025, which was held at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh over three days full of scientific dialogues and specialized sessions, in the presence of an elite group of experts and translators from inside and outside the Kingdom.

In his speech during the closing ceremony, the CEO of the Authority, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, confirmed that the slogan of the forum "From Saudi Arabia…we translate the future” embodies the profound transformation in the concept of Translation as a national project that enhances human communication and contributes to creating cultural and cognitive influence, pointing out that the Kingdom today translates to understand and understand, and actively participates in formulating global dialogue based on mutual respect and the exchange of civilizational visions.

The ceremony included a multilingual musical performance that combined Arabic, English and French in an artistic performance that reflected the spirit of multiculturalism, in addition to honoring the initiative "Tarjam” and the most prominent publishing houses that benefited from it in recognition of their contributions to the development of the translation sector in the Kingdom.

Global Participation

The forum witnessed the participation of more than 70 experts and speakers from 22 countries, who presented, during 15 dialogue sessions and 17 workshops, the latest visions and professional practices in the fields of medical, technical, literary, sports, and interpretation translation. They also discussed the profession’s challenges and opportunities in light of technological transformations and intelligence. Artificial.

The topics of the forum were distributed over three days and discussed engineering trust in translation, the technical shift towards smart practices, translation between humans and machines, and cultural shifts in Saudi translation.
