China exempts chips "Nexperia" Designated for civilian use are exempt from export restrictions

BEIJING, 9 November 2017 – The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said today that China has implemented procedures to grant an exemption allowing exports
Nexperia chips that are compatible with civilian use, in a move that is believed to contribute to increasing supplies to car manufacturers and their suppliers.
Nexperia, owned by the Chinese company Wingtech, is headquartered in the Netherlands.
