Mexico takes emergency measures after the killing of a city mayor "Uruapan"

The Mexican government announced a package of emergency measures to strengthen security in the state of Michoacan, following the assassination of Uruapan Mayor Carlos Manso.

According to media outlets, the Mexican government will invest more than $3.1 billion to improve security in Michoacan and will send more than 10,000 soldiers there.

On November 1, the mayor of Uruapan, Carlos Manso, was shot during holiday celebrations.
