The Red Crescent Authority explained that in recent years it has activated a number of modern mechanisms that contribute to improving the response time and quality of service within the central area of ​​the Sanctuary, including golf carts designated for transportation. Rapid ambulance, and motorcycles equipped with integrated ambulance bags, in addition to medical scooters that were recently developed to meet the needs of crowded and difficult-to-reach areas.

She added that some of these vehicles are equipped with advanced medical equipment, including oxygen cylinders, first-aid devices and medical solutions, which enables the teams to provide a complete ambulance service at the site of the case, and even convert – when needed – from a critical condition to a stable condition before the arrival of support teams or vehicles. Ambulance.

The authority indicated that among the modern technologies there is also a mobile stretcher that is used in narrow locations or areas that are difficult for vehicles to reach, as it allows the injured to be transported from unsafe areas to support points quickly and efficiently. He added that these mechanisms contributed to reducing the response time in the central area of the Holy Mosque in Mecca to only about 8 seconds in some cases, thanks to the wide spread of field teams and technical integration between the response units.

The authority continued that the medical transfer center plays a pivotal role in receiving the ambulance. Reports through various reporting channels, whether through the unified number (997) or applications "Help me" and"My health"and"We trust" She explained that the role of the medical dispatcher begins from the moment the report is received, where the location of the case is precisely determined and initially sorted by asking specific questions that help direct the report to the appropriate teams, in addition to providing immediate instructions to the reporter to deal with the case until the ambulance teams arrive. He added that the system relies on advanced artificial intelligence techniques that contribute to accelerating the sorting process and improving the quality of the service provided.

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority confirms, through its participation in the conference, its keenness to enhance its field and technical readiness, and to develop its cadres in line with the aspirations of the leadership in providing integrated ambulance services to the pilgrims, in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 towards a more efficient and sustainable health sector and a better quality of life.
