The Cairo Film Festival announces the final list of films from Horizons of Arab Cinema

The Cairo International Film Festival announced the final list of films from the Horizons of Arab Cinema Competition, as part of the activities of its forty-sixth session, which will be held from November 12 to 21, 2025, under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.
This year, the competition includes nine films from various Arab countries, reflecting the diversity of cinematic visions and styles in the region, which are:
«The Pasha’s Daughters» Directed by Mohamed El Adl (Egypt),
«Round 13» By Muhammad Ali Al-Nahdi (Tunisia),
«Azza» By Stephanie Brockhaus (Germany),
«so-and-so» By Zahraa Ghandour (Iraq, France, Qatar),
«Kondava» By Ali Benjelloun (Morocco),
«A Quiet Dog» By Sarah Francis (Lebanon),
«Complaint No. 713317» By Yasser Shafi’i (Egypt),
«As if it had never existed» by Sarah Abidi (Tunisia), and “Against Cinema” by Ali Saeed (Saudi Arabia).
The Cairo International Film Festival is one of the most prestigious film festivals in the Arab world and Africa, and the only one in the region that holds the “A” category. From the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) in Paris, since its founding in 1976.
