The State Public Prosecution participates in a regional course on justice and human rights in Qatar

Doha, November 11 / WAM / The State Public Prosecution participated in the regional training course for members of public prosecutions and public prosecution in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held under the title “The Role of Public Prosecution Members in Administering Justice in accordance with International Standards for Human Rights Guarantees” in Lusail City in the State of Qatar.

The course, which lasted four days, was organized by the Institute of Criminal Studies at the Public Prosecution of the State of Qatar, in cooperation with the United Nations Center for Training and Documentation in the Field of Human Rights for Southwest Asia and the Arab Region at the headquarters of the United Nations House.

The State Public Prosecution delegation included Maryam Hamid, Chief Prosecutor, Dr. Marwan Jassim, First Deputy Prosecutor, and Dr. Saleh Al-Kaabi, First Deputy Prosecutor.

Members of the participating delegation reviewed the Public Prosecution’s experience in employing artificial intelligence techniques and smart prosecution systems to speed up case procedures and achieve justice with high efficiency.

The Public Prosecution confirmed that this participation comes within the framework of its keenness to develop the capabilities of its members and enhance their knowledge of international human rights standards, which contributes to consolidating the principles of justice and preserving the rights of individuals and society, and keeping pace with modern developments in digital justice and smart transformation.
