"NMDC Energy" cooperate with "Baker Hughes" To localize products and services of the marine energy sector in Saudi Arabia

ABU DHABI, 12 November / WAM / NMDC Energy, a leading provider of engineering, procurement and construction services for onshore and offshore energy projects, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Baker Hughes, the global American energy technology company, to explore the localization of Baker Hughes’ most prominent products and solutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve the energy markets in the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and India.
Relying on NMDC Energy’s advanced facilities, especially its manufacturing yards in Ras Al-Khair in the Kingdom, the cooperation will focus on localizing products and services related to the marine energy sector, including Emergency Pipeline Repair Systems (EPRS), in addition to a logistics base dedicated to flexible marine piping system solutions, to serve sector projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the markets of the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey and India on a broader scale.
This partnership is separate from the memorandum of understanding that NMDC Energy recently signed with Baker Hughes during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), which relates to gas technology products.
Earlier, the company strengthened its cooperation with a number of international, regional and Emirati companies in the fields of energy and industry, as part of its endeavors to expand the scope of its expertise in the energy sector and continue to meet the needs of the growing regional market.
Ahmed Al Dhaheri, CEO of NMDC Energy, said that the company’s manufacturing capabilities are a source of attraction for many leading companies that want to localize energy sector solutions, especially global entities such as Baker Hughes, which shares our vision of the necessity of concluding strategic partnerships that achieve the necessary integration to meet the changing and growing needs of the energy sector in the Kingdom and the region’s markets in general.
As a strategic partner supporting the energy sector in the Kingdom through international partnerships, NMDC Energy affirms its commitment to innovating new paths that enhance nationalization in the Kingdom, supporting economic momentum, providing job opportunities, and diversifying economic sectors at the same time.
It is noteworthy that NMDC Energy opened its operations at its advanced manufacturing facilities in the economic zone in Ras Al-Khair in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia earlier this year, which has a strategic location that supports regional energy operations.
The facility covers an area of 400,000 square metres, and was designed to serve both onshore and offshore energy projects, with an annual production capacity of 40,000 tons, while it was equipped with digital systems and advanced automation solutions, enabling it to provide manufacturing, assembly, maintenance and development services for integrated modular units for complex infrastructure in the energy sector.
