The second annual Trends Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence will discuss “technological diplomacy” in the Middle East and North Africa on November 13.

The work of the “Trends Center for Research and Consulting’s second annual dialogue on artificial intelligence,” in strategic partnership with the Cybersecurity Council and 23 partner entities under the title: “Technological Diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa,” with the participation of researchers and experts from the US Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), along with speakers from Google, OpenAI, G42, GC REAIM, Khalifa University, Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence, Mohammed bin Zayed University for the Humanities, and the University of… New York, Abu Dhabi, and other scientific and academic destinations.
The “Second Trends Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence”, in its sessions in which the Cybersecurity Council will participate as a strategic partner, an elite group of major international technology companies, 5 universities from the UAE, and experts and researchers from the CSIS Center for the first time in the Middle East, will compete with a number of pivotal issues that address the latest developments in the fields of artificial intelligence and technological diplomacy, through three main sessions that bring together an elite group of experts, decision-makers and academics from various countries of the world.
The first session, entitled “Enhancing Progress: A New Era of US-Gulf Partnerships,” discusses opportunities for strategic cooperation between the two sides in the fields of innovation and advanced technology, and the role of artificial intelligence in advancing future partnerships.
The second session deals with “Geopolitical Dimensions of Artificial Intelligence,” and sheds light on the repercussions of technical development on the global balance of power, and the impact of artificial intelligence on international relations and policy-making.
While the third session discusses the topic of “Soft Power through Artificial Intelligence and Digital Infrastructure,” which focuses on how to employ smart technologies to enhance the positive image of countries and build bridges of cultural communication and sustainable development.
The second TRENDS Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence concludes with a closing speech summarizing the most prominent ideas and recommendations reached, to support paths of research and applied cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence at the regional and international levels.
The participation of researchers from the CSIS Center, which is one of the most powerful American think tanks and ranked first in the world in the fields of defense and national security, adds momentum to the dialogue and enriches it.
The second annual dialogue on artificial intelligence, organized by the Trends Center for Research and Consulting, has 24 qualitative strategic partnerships that include an elite group of the most prominent institutions from the private, public and international sectors. The Cybersecurity Council was a strategic partner for the conference, while G42 is participating as the strategic partner for artificial intelligence. The dialogue also includes a group of technological partners from the private and international sectors, including CrowdStrike, Microsoft, Cisco, and Palo Alto Networks and Accenture.
A number of academic partners are also participating in the event, namely the United Arab Emirates University, Rabdan Academy, Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence, Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities, Khalifa University, and the Higher Colleges of Technology, in a way that enhances integration between scientific research and practical application in the field of advanced technology.
