The Asian Humanitarian Network opens its regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, 14 November / WAM / The Asian Humanitarian Network (AVPN) opened its regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi, as a major regional headquarters in the West Asia (Middle East) region, due to its international and strategic importance as a primary gateway to promoting sustainable and effective financial solutions to serve humanity, and its leadership in leading many development projects and programs worldwide.
The selection of the capital, Abu Dhabi, comes with the aim of accelerating the flow of impactful investment in financing sustainable development initiatives, especially with regard to pressing social and environmental challenges throughout the continent of Asia, in addition to enhancing the necessary financing methods for the areas of climate, social equality, health care and youth empowerment, and working to shape the future of social investment by upholding the values of giving, giving, cooperation and development on the one hand, and harnessing the capabilities of innovation and modern technologies for the development and prosperity of Asian societies and peoples on the other hand.
Achal Agarwal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asian Humanitarian Network, said on this occasion that this opening represents a step that goes beyond geographical expansion, as it reflects a real commitment to a broader vision for the future, as the West Asia region has unique ingredients that enable it to reshape the future of impact investing on the continent thanks to its rich mix between an established culture of giving and a new and conscious generation of investors on the one hand, and by establishing a special headquarters in the UAE, the network will strengthen the bridges of communication between goals and investment to ensure the continuation of the values of giving and the spirit of innovation in driving sustainable growth throughout Asia. On the other hand.
For her part, Naina Subharwal Batra, CEO of the Asian Humanitarian Network, said that the launch of the network’s headquarters in West Asia represents a new chapter and an important step to consolidate its presence in the region, and enhances its role in mobilizing capital throughout Asia, given the region’s rich culture, humanitarian values, and important strategic location linking the continents of Asia, Europe, and Africa, in addition to possessing unique ingredients that open the door to broader cooperation and promising opportunities.
She explained that the presence of the network in Abu Dhabi aims to build real links between West Asian investors and influential opportunities on the continent, while developing sustainable partnerships that make a tangible difference on the ground.
It should be noted that the Asian Humanitarian Network is the largest network of social investors in the continent of Asia, and includes more than 700 diverse members from 43 countries, and its mission is to increase the flow and effectiveness of physical, human and intellectual capital in the Asian continent by directing resources towards the necessary societal impact.
The network also empowers its members to connect, learn, act and lead social impact efforts across key pillars and improve capital effectiveness, while prioritizing local field requirements, regional expertise and policy insights.
The network continues its work through its various specialized platforms and funding funds, such as (the Climate x Health Fund: A Lighthouse for Asia, the Social Equality Platform, and the Youth Mental Health Fund in Asia 1.0).
