المملكة: Rabigh records the highest amounts of rain with 58.6 mm within 24 hours, and Jeddah is second

Observatories and stations affiliated with the National Center of Meteorology recorded the highest amounts of Rainduring the period extending from 09:00 in the morning on Friday, November 14, until 09:00 this morning, Saturday, November 15.
This is according to the official report issued by the center, which clearly showed the superiority of a number of locations located along the western coast in recording the highest rates of precipitation during the past hours.Rainfall, amounting to 58.6 mm, which is the highest number among all stations of the National Center of Meteorology.
Al Qadimah is one of the coastal areas of Rabigh Governorate, and this high amount was recorded as a result of its direct impact on the peak rainy season that affected the western coast..

Thwal also recorded a high amount of 51.4mm, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology was also on the list of cities with the highest rainfall, with an amount of 41.0mm, which reflects the widening range of precipitation on the coastal strip north of Jeddah, and the extension of the impact of the rainy condition to several locations in the region.
In the same context, Rabigh Governorate was among the prominent cities on the list of the highest precipitation, as it recorded an amount of 28.6mm, which confirms that the governorate witnessed a direct impact of the weather condition that increased rainfall rates in a number of its parts.
Mina in Mecca also appeared on the list of cities with the highest rainfall, with an amount reaching 27.5mm, to be the highest point in the Holy Capital during the report, and ahead of other locations inside Mecca that recorded varying amounts.
Variation of rainfall
In other regions, data from the National Center of Meteorology revealed variation in rainfall in each region, with specific locations recording the highest amounts within their geographical scope.
In the Al-Jawf region, Dumat Al-Jandal – Abu Ajram came as the location with the highest rainfall amounting to 0.4 mm.
In the Al-Baha region, the Shada-Qalwa site recorded the highest amount of rain, amounting to 5.8 This is a result of a limited extension of rain clouds over the southwestern highlands.
As for the Medina region, Badr – Al-Musajid emerged as the site with the highest rainfall amounting to 19.2 mm, which reflects that the impact of the weather condition on the region was moderate but included several locations within its administrative scope.
In the Hail region, Hail Airport recorded the highest amount amounting to 8.4mm, which indicates that precipitation extends at a varying pace over parts of the region.
In the northern border region, amounts were relatively limited, as Rafha Airport recorded the highest amount of rain at 2.9 mm, which is consistent with the nature of the rainy condition, the effect of which was weaker towards the north.
While the Qassim region witnessed varying precipitation, led by Uqlat al-Suqur, with an amount amounting to 7.2mm, which are average amounts compared to the rest of the regions.
These data show that the western coasts of the Kingdom, specifically Rabigh, Jeddah, and Thuwal, were most affected by the rain event that caused high amounts to be recorded over a short period, while the situation spread unevenly to a number of central, southern and northern regions, but in smaller quantities.
The National Center of Meteorology continues to monitor and analyze data issued by observatories spread across various regions, while continuing to update reports and alerts to ensure the readiness of relevant authorities and enhance awareness among the population about Weather updates.
