Pakistan Association Dubai… a process of giving whose vision is inspired by the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence in the Emirates

Dubai, November 15 / WAM / The United Arab Emirates, which embraces more than 200 nationalities living in harmony and harmony, continues to consolidate its position as a global model for tolerance and coexistence.

Based on this vision, the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD), the largest community center for the Pakistani community in the world, has become a beacon of service and giving in the country.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on the occasion of International Tolerance Day, Dr. Faisal Ikram, President of the Pakistan Society Dubai, explained that the Society works to embody the human values ​​that distinguish the UAE through initiatives that seek to enhance coexistence and societal cohesion. He said: “Our goal is to serve humanity without borders, which reflects the UAE’s message of tolerance, compassion and mutual respect.”

Dr. Ikram added that the association is proud to be based on land gifted by the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, in a gesture that expresses the depth of the deep-rooted friendship between the UAE and Pakistan.

He pointed out that the association’s message is consistent with the UAE’s vision of promoting coexistence between cultures, as its activities are not limited to members of the Pakistani community, but rather extend to various nationalities residing in the country. He said: “We believe that humanitarian work knows no borders or nationality,” stressing that “the association is an open space for everyone without religious or cultural discrimination.”

The Society’s most prominent initiative is the Pakistan Medical Center, which is a non-profit health facility that consolidates the values ​​of human compassion and solidarity.

Since the opening of the Pakistan Medical Center in October 2020, more than 151,400 people from 92 nationalities, in 37 different medical specialties, have benefited from its services.

The center includes about 50 volunteer doctors who provide their services in the spirit of giving, with 75 percent of patients receiving subsidized care, the total value of which has exceeded 25.5 million dirhams so far, making the center an example of tolerance and joint humanitarian work.

Dr. Ikram pointed out that the Pakistan Medical Center opens its doors to everyone, providing a living example of the spirit of giving and compassion that characterizes Emirati society.

The association enjoys continuous institutional support from the Community Development Authority in Dubai, while the Dubai Department of Finance has granted exemptions from fees to the Pakistan Medical Center.

The Dubai Health Authority also issued special voluntary licenses for medical personnel working at the center, in an initiative that confirms the UAE government’s confidence in humanitarian work and community solidarity.

Dr. Ikram explained that the association celebrated the Year of Society by achieving a new global achievement, which was setting a Guinness World Record by creating a huge human flag consisting of 24,400 colorful handprints, in which volunteers from more than 100 nationalities participated, as an embodiment of the values ​​of tolerance and cultural diversity in the UAE.
