A telephone call between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Palestinian Vice President

A telephone call took place today, Saturday, November 15, 2025, between Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, and Hussein Al-Sheikh, Vice President of the State of Palestine, within the framework of ongoing coordination and consultation between the two sides on developments in the situation in Palestine, and efforts to stabilize the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Agreement and ensure its implementation.

 

Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the call covered the ongoing consultations on the draft resolution in the UN Security Council regarding developments in Gaza and security arrangements, The two sides stressed the importance of ensuring that the resolution contributes to consolidating an end to the war and creating conditions to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that meets the aspirations of the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state.

 

In this context, Minister Abdel-Aty referred to the statement issued yesterday, November 14, which reflected support for the adoption of the aforementioned draft Security Council resolution, pointing to the regional and international consensus to continue implementing the plan. Which was launched during the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, which provides a practical path for Palestinian self-determination and the establishment of a Palestinian state, thus consolidating peace and stability in the entire region.

 

The official spokesman concluded by noting that Minister Abdel-Ati reviewed with Hussein Al-Sheikh the ongoing preparations for holding the international conference for early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza, noting the importance of mobilizing regional and international support. To ensure the effective implementation of the early recovery and reconstruction plan, the two sides agreed to continue consultation and close coordination during the coming period in support of the rights of the Palestinian people and efforts to achieve lasting and just peace.
