The Egyptian President directs the intensification of exploration and investment incentives in oil and gas

Cairo, November 15 / WAM / Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi directed the provision of more incentives and facilities to enhance the attraction of investments in the oil, gas and mining sectors, while intensifying exploration efforts and supporting the localization of energy-related industries to meet growing needs.

This came during his meeting with Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Engineer Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, where the Ministry’s strategic plan was reviewed, including production and exploration activities, and the exploratory drilling plan for the period from 2026 to 2030, in addition to efforts to develop the mining sector and increase its investment attractiveness.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, explained that the Minister of Petroleum reviewed the latest developments in land and marine exploration activities, including drilling plans in the Mediterranean for the year 2026, the expected reserves, as well as the latest developments in seismic survey work for the years 2025 and 2026, and gas production rates during the period from July 2024 to October 2025.
