Hatta won the Vice President’s Cup for running

The Vice President’s Cup running competitions resulted in Hatta winning the overall championship in the men’s team category with 16 points. It also topped first and second place in the individual category, Al Wasl came second in the teams and third in the individual, and Al Hamriyah came third in the team level.
The winners were crowned by Sheikh Saeed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in Khor Fakkan, in the presence of a number of Federation officials.
The first tournament of the new season was held yesterday evening for all age levels at Al Hafiya Lake in the city of Kalba, and was organized by the Emirates Athletics Federation with the participation of 372 male and female players representing 19 clubs and academies.
The participants competed over distances of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 9 km, for the junior categories, “males and females” under 16 and 18 years, and the male and female youth categories, also under 18 years of age, and the “general” categories for men and women.
The Abu Dhabi team won the title of the young women’s competition, while the Kalba Club won the title of the youth category, and Al-Nasr Club came in runner-up, while the Sharjah Women’s Sports Club topped the girls’ Cubs competition, and the Abu Dhabi Club came second, and the Khor Fakkan Women’s Sports Club came third.
Abu Dhabi Club also won the boys’ cubs competition title, and Al-Nasr came in runner-up and Kalba came in third. Abu Dhabi Club also continued its distinguished results in the tournament by winning the junior championship title, Hatta Club achieved second place, Al-Nasr third place, Sharjah Women’s Sports Club achieved the junior women’s title, and Khor Fakkan Women’s Sports Club came in runner-up.
