His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, confirmed that the Dubai Air Show represents one of the most prominent fruits of the UAE’s vision for the future. His Highness pointed out that this vision is based on consolidating the country’s position as a global center for the aviation, space and defense industry, and promoting international partnerships, innovation and advanced technologies, with the aim of formulating new solutions that serve humanity and support sustainable growth in various sectors.

This came on the occasion of the launch of the Dubai Airshow activities, today, at Dubai World Central, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, where the world exhibition in its 19th session, whose activities will continue until November 21st, will host sector leaders, to shape the future of aviation, space, defense, and others.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum welcomed the guests of the Emirates, including senior officials, experts and decision-makers from around the world, who are meeting on the grounds of Dubai World Central in a new session of this global event, to discuss promising opportunities and shape the features of the next generation of aviation, space and defense technologies.

His Highness said: “Over the course of its successive sessions, the Dubai Airshow has consolidated its position as one of the most important global platforms specialized in this field, with its wide interest and qualitative participation from major companies and international stakeholders, becoming a preferred destination for revealing the latest innovations and technologies, and an open laboratory for advanced ideas that redefine the future of these vital industries.”

His Highness added: “The exhibition embodies the UAE’s commitment to building an integrated aviation system, enhancing its role as a reliable partner in developing innovative defense solutions, and supporting the knowledge and technical economy system, based on the firm conviction that investing in science and technology is the option most capable of preserving the future of nations.”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, in a blog post on the “X” platform, yesterday: “One of the largest international aviation exhibitions will start tomorrow in the UAE, with the participation of 115 countries… and 490 civilian and military delegations… in addition to about 150,000 visitors. The Dubai Air Show aims to showcase the latest technologies in the world of airports and aviation. It will display more than 200 modern aircraft for all civil and military uses. An exhibition and conference for space technologies will also be held on its sidelines.

His Highness added: “We welcome all visiting delegations… and we are proud of the largest edition of the Dubai Air Show… and we are proud that the UAE is a major international station and platform in the world of aviation.”

Thin platform

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, the activities of the Dubai Airshow begin today, and continue until November 21, at Dubai World Central, where the global exhibition, in its 19th session, will host sector leaders to shape the future of aviation, space, defense, and others.

The Dubai Airshow is a global forum for investment and emerging technologies, and a high-level platform for effective cooperation in the field of advanced innovations. The exhibition covers the latest trends, innovations and results in the sector, including the development of the largest global airports and the unveiling of the latest revolutionary technologies, which establishes its position as a very important event for the aviation and space sector.

The largest cycle

The exhibition will host more than 1,500 exhibitors, including 440 registering their first participation, along with 148,000 visitors, and 490 military and civilian delegations from 115 countries. The exhibition will also include 21 national pavilions, including the first participation of the Kingdom of Morocco, along with 98 chalets and an additional exhibition area with an area of 8,000 square metres, as well as 120 emerging companies and 50 investors. The event will witness more Of 200 aircraft covering a wide range, including commercial aircraft, military aircraft, business aircraft, drones, as well as advanced aviation technologies, in air and static displays, making this year’s edition the largest in the history of the exhibition, and among the participating aircraft is the Jobai Aviation electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, the General Atomics CCA aircraft, and the Bristle B23 915 IFR aircraft, in addition to two Comac C aircraft. 919 and C909.

The largest space suite

In the context of enhancing the UAE’s ambitions to pioneer space innovation, this year’s session will witness the largest space pavilion in the history of the exhibition, jointly organized with the Emirates Space Agency. Over the course of five days full of events, the pavilion will provide a unified platform for international space agencies, leading companies in the field of space technology, startups, investors, and academic institutions, to discuss current challenges, enhance cooperation relations, and accelerate commercial use of space technologies. The two-day space conference will also bring together more than 50 international experts, astronauts, and elite leaders. The sector explores the latest technologies, dimensions of the responsible use of space, and future exploration missions.

The Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Space Agency, Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, said: “The Dubai Air Show highlights the remarkable progress achieved by the UAE in the space sector, as a result of our continuous efforts to transform the goals of the National Space Strategy 2030 into a tangible reality, in a way that enhances the building of a comprehensive and sustainable space economy. The Dubai Airshow 2025 presents an exceptional version of its conference programme, the most comprehensive and interactive in its history, as its activities extend across four theaters and 12 specialized tracks, with the participation of more than 450 leading experts from various aspects of the sector. Attendees will gain global insights covering the entire aviation and space system, through exclusive interviews, interesting dialogue sessions, and interactive workshops. The program includes innovative tracks that reflect the most prominent transformations in the sector. Starting from maintenance, repair and overhaul, through keynotes for airport representatives and airlines organized by Dubai Airports, all the way to advanced air transport, passenger experience, workforce development, cybersecurity, and modern airport technologies.

The Sustainable Aircraft Operation Show will also be launched in cooperation with dnata, Flydubai, and more than 30 other partners in the aviation sector, showcasing how to operate the first aircraft based on fully sustainable solutions, which sets a new standard for clean operations and enhances the acceleration of the convergence between technology, sustainability and connectivity.

Electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft

The Dubai Air Show pays increasing attention to advanced air transport, in confirmation of the role of the Emirate of Dubai as a center for innovation. The exhibition witnesses, for the first time in its history, the flight of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, including the Joby Aviation aircraft. The advanced air transport pavilion gives visitors the opportunity to see the development of urban mobility, as the pioneering electric aircraft reveal the flexibility, innovation and enormous potential that will change the concept of mobility on a global level.

For his part, Director General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Mohammed Abdullah Linjawi, said: “This year’s edition of the Dubai Air Show will witness the first participation of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft, which marks a new stage in the field of urban air transport. Sustainability

The new Inspiration Zone brings together entrepreneurs at the beginning of their careers, with promising startups, and bold innovators, to test theories, showcase innovations, and communicate with industry leaders. The Next Generation Leaders Program also highlights cutting-edge university research projects, under the supervision of the brightest talents, with the aim of shaping the future of the sector. On the other hand, the Wellness Zone provides a space to relax and rejuvenate amidst the exciting atmosphere of the exhibition, and the Vista platform returns to be a center for leading startup companies in the fields of aviation and space, which are leading future developments in this sector.

The 2025 edition of the exhibition focuses heavily on sustainability, as it witnesses the launch of a group of initiatives, including the provision of sustainable aviation fuel for participating aircraft, and ground equipment powered by electricity and propane in partnership with GITEX, in addition to exhibition halls completely powered by renewable electrical energy. As for the Better Wings programme, it is an initiative of the Dubai Air Show, which encourages the design of reusable platforms. Humidification stations and accommodations that are certified by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) also appear among the exhibition’s activities, which reflects the exhibition’s commitment to protecting the environment during… It is held.

Evening sessions

The Dubai Airshow activities continue until the evening for the first time, with evening sessions designed to introduce new ways of communication and cooperation in this sector. The exhibition includes a group of events that enhance visitors’ experiences, including the ceremony that will be held on the airstrip today, Monday, at Skydive Dubai, in addition to the night flight shows tomorrow, Tuesday, with live entertainment shows and a display of drones, as the doors of the exhibition remain open until nine o’clock at night.

Visitors to the Sky View area will be treated to stunning aircraft displays, immersive display experiences, and an exciting aviation atmosphere, over five days. The exhibition’s schedule of events has been carefully designed to meet the desires of all aviation enthusiasts, as it includes interactive air shows presented by distinguished international demonstration teams, meeting sessions with pilots, in addition to food trucks, live entertainment shows, and a new area designated for VIPs to follow the exhibition’s activities.

The Dubai Airshow 2025 is held under the slogan “The Future Starts Here,” bringing together the world’s aviation leaders to shape the next stage in the aviation and space sector.
