"ADNOC Technical Academy".. Graduating 403 national competencies and empowering them with artificial intelligence and robotics skills

Abu Dhabi, 17 November / WAM / Today, the ADNOC Technical Academy organized a graduation ceremony for 403 national talents, who were provided with the technical skills and practical experience to benefit from artificial intelligence and robotics solutions and tools, in a new achievement that confirms its pivotal role in preparing highly qualified national cadres capable of contributing to consolidating ADNOC’s position as a reliable energy provider and a major contributor to supporting sustainable economic growth in the UAE.
The graduates enrolled in an intensive training program that spanned over two years within one of the following specializations: “electrical maintenance, precision instrumentation and control maintenance, mechanical maintenance, and oil and gas processing operations in the energy sector.”
Graduates will begin their careers in specialized, highly skilled positions within the ADNOC Group, which supports the implementation of its strategy and enhances its endeavors to become the energy company that benefits most from artificial intelligence solutions in the world.
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC and its group of companies, said: In line with the vision and directives of the wise leadership, the ADNOC Technical Academy has contributed, over nearly five decades, to qualifying and preparing national cadres and enabling them to acquire world-class skills and experience to build a successful career path in the energy sector, and contribute to the growth, progress and prosperity of the nation, as the academy focuses on developing its programs to integrate the latest practical applications in the fields of artificial intelligence. Robotics and digital technologies, ensuring that trainees are provided with the necessary skills for leadership and keeping pace with the rapid changes taking place in the energy sector. We are pleased to congratulate the graduates on this important achievement and wish them success as they begin their careers with the ADNOC Group.
Since its founding in 1978, the ADNOC Technical Academy has graduated more than 6,000 citizens, becoming an essential pillar in preparing national industrial competencies, especially in the energy sector.
In addition to specialized technical training in operational operations, the academy today provides practical experiences using advanced technology supported by artificial intelligence, drone technologies, robotics, and remotely piloted vehicles to monitor sites, inspect infrastructure, and monitor gas leaks.
The academy has integrated ADNOC’s “Neuron 5” technology, supported by artificial intelligence, into the training curricula, which contributes to reducing unplanned shutdowns by 50%. An “educational assistant” supported by artificial intelligence will also soon be provided to provide a personal and interactive learning experience that will contribute to accelerating technical training and enhancing the continuous development of skills among Emirati youth.
For his part, Ibrahim Sorour Al Zaabi, First Vice President of the ADNOC Technical Academy, said in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the graduates have completed a two-year training program that qualifies them to occupy technical and specialized positions within the ADNOC Group.
He added that the academy has graduated more than 6,000 Emiratis to date and has played a pivotal role in preparing national competencies to support efforts to localize vital jobs in the energy sector and enhance business sustainability.
Al Zaabi pointed out that the academy plays a major role in preparing the next generation of Emirati technicians, through specialized academic programs and educational methodologies based on practical application, enabling them to excel in the era of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
He explained that the ADNOC Technical Academy designed its training programs to keep pace with the needs and requirements of the labor market, especially emerging jobs in the energy sector, as it works to develop and qualify national cadres and provide them with the necessary skills and tools to keep pace with the future, achieve excellence and professional success, and contribute to supporting the country’s economic growth.
It is noteworthy that the ADNOC Technical Academy, within the framework of the partnership announced in October 2025 with the American company “Geco Robotics”, will work to develop new training programs in cooperation with the company to qualify trainees and enable them to use the latest inspection and automation systems, and contribute to enabling the UAE to build an economy based on knowledge and artificial intelligence.
