His Excellency said in a statement on the occasion of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to designate the year 2026 as the Year of the Family. These directives embody a deep vision that recognizes that the family is an integrated system that constitutes a source of strength, stability, and identity for the nation, and that caring for it is an investment in the people of the Emirates, and in the system of values that preserve the cohesion of society and support its stability, as this trend reflects the belief of the wise leadership that building the future begins with the conscious family capable of Raising generations that possess solid national and humanitarian values, and keep pace with the requirements of the times with a spirit of responsibility and belonging.

Al Kaabi pointed out that the Family Development Foundation, under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” President of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, gives the family a pivotal place in its strategic plans and development programs, in recognition of its vital role in building people and enhancing community cohesion, pointing out that the Foundation is working to develop sustainable initiatives in accordance with Her Highness’s vision that enhance family stability and quality of life, especially the elderly group. Citizens, within an integrated system based on monitoring, analysis, studies, and making the necessary recommendations to consolidate the status of the Emirati family as a role model for cohesion and social responsibility.
