Sponsored by Hamdan bin Mohammed.. “Dubai Future Forum 2025” kicks off tomorrow

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, the activities of the fourth session of the Dubai Future Forum, the largest global gathering of experts and designers of the future, will begin tomorrow, organized by the Dubai Future Foundation, and its activities will continue over the course of the 18th and 19th of November at the Museum of the Future.

The forum constitutes a pioneering platform for exploring future opportunities in various fields with the participation of 2,500 experts and specialists in designing the future from around the world, and more than 200 speakers participating in more than 70 main and dialogue sessions within five main themes that include: an in-depth look into the future, exploring the unknown, the future of societies, the future of health, and the future of systems.

For the first time this year, the “Specialized Forums Day” will be organized on November 17 and 20 in cooperation with a number of the forum’s partners from local, regional and global institutions to discuss five vital topics: foresight and international security, foresight and strategic philanthropy, foresight and smart collectibles, foresight and climate response, and mediating the future, with the participation of an elite group of specialists and experts in these fields.

A number of senior regional newspaper editors, television station directors, and media industry leaders, along with experts in artificial intelligence, met in a dialogue session organized by Arab News on “Media of the Future.” They reviewed the most prominent opportunities resulting from the development of emerging technologies in the media scene, and the most important future trends that must be focused on keeping pace with and preparing media professionals with the skills and tools required for the upcoming changes. They also discussed the role of artificial intelligence in the fields of journalism, advertising, communications, and content creation in the Arab world.

Also within the specialized forums, participants discussed in the “Foresight and International Security” sessions organized by the “Think Foundation” ways to employ foresight tools to enhance the flexibility of global dialogue and understanding international transformations and their complexities, and the “Foresight and Strategic Charitable Work” sessions organized by the “Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation” reviewed the future of charitable work and its new models.

Speakers in the Foresight and Smart Collectibles sessions organized by XPANCEO Technology Company shared realistic experiences in transforming scientific research into applicable solutions and the role of revolutionary technologies in enhancing the interaction between humans and technology. The “Climate Foresight and Response” sessions, organized by the Dubai Research, Development and Innovation Programme, supervised by Dubai Future Laboratories, discussed how to enhance the ability of cities and communities to confront the challenges of climate change.

The main sessions of the first day of the forum include a main session in which Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Deputy Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, and Michael Maybach, CEO of MasterCard International, participate, as the session discusses the most prominent global transformations in the era of artificial intelligence.

The first day’s activities will begin with a speech delivered by Khalfan Juma Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, followed by key sessions entitled: “Societies of the Future: How do we reformulate the foundations of building balanced and sustainable societies?” and “Are we letting the future down with today’s decisions?” And “A Journey into the Depths of the Mind: Can We Engineer Human Consciousness?” “The role of education in building the world’s readiness for the future,” in addition to the session “What is the role of industrial sectors in driving the future of the economy?”

The first day will witness important sessions within the forum’s themes, such as the session “Do scientific alliances create a new future for research and development?” And the session “Proactive Medicine: Are We on the Verge of a New Leap”? And the session “The Global Consumer 2035: What do global markets tell us about the future?” And the session “Deep Ocean Innovations: Do They Shape the Features of the Future?”

In addition, the “Dubai Future Solutions – Innovations for Humanity” initiative exhibition for the year 2025, the largest and most diverse global gathering of innovators and academic talents, was launched today, Monday, in “Area 2071” in the Emirates Towers in Dubai, and its activities will continue until November 20, and it displays the best 100 innovative projects from more than among thousands of entries from students, new graduates, and professors registered in more than 1,200 universities in 120 countries around the world. Five exceptional innovators will be selected, honored and supported to develop their innovative ideas and implement them on the ground.

The global event will also witness the announcement of the winners of the first session of the Dubai Future Foresight Awards, which were announced last year under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to celebrate the innovators, the distinguished, the pioneers of foresight, the designers of the future, those with future visions and creative ideas from around the world, and to highlight their qualitative achievements in three main areas: the foundations of future foresight and its theories, anticipating the future of societies, and anticipating the future of the environment.

Also, the Future Novels Awards ceremony will be organized, which celebrates writers and authors who inspire new generations of future experts and forecasters with their writings and works.
