“Emergency and Crisis” in Abu Dhabi activates the coordination and follow-up center in Al Dhafra

The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Center for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi announced the activation of the Coordination and Follow-up Center in the Al Dhafra region, in a strategic step that will enhance field readiness and raise its levels in one of the most expansive and diverse regions of the emirate in its geographical and economic nature. Activating the coordination and follow-up center in the Al Dhafra region is part of the center’s efforts to enhance its field presence in all regions of the emirate, in a way that suits the specificity of each region, and supports a rapid and effective response to any emergency event or potential crisis.
The Executive Director of the Response and Recovery Sector at the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Center for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Dr. Abdullah Hamarain Al Dhaheri, said that the activation falls within the Center’s commitment to establishing a crisis management system that relies on spatial flexibility and institutional integration, thus enhancing the ability of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to protect its society and economy in the face of changing challenges.
Activating the coordination and follow-up center in Al Dhafra represents an additional pillar in the crisis management system of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and reflects the keenness of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Center of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to develop a flexible response structure that takes into account the specificity of each region in the emirate, enhance field presence and integrate roles with partners and entities, and build a world-leading model in emergency, crisis and disaster management.
