Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed visits a number of pavilions at the Dubai Airshow 2025
DUBAI, 17th November, 2018 (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, visited a number of pavilions at the Dubai Airshow 2025, whose activities are being held at Dubai World Central until 21st November.
His Highness was briefed on the latest innovations and advanced technologies in the fields of aviation, space and defense, including unmanned aircraft systems, smart defense systems, and innovative solutions supporting advanced air operations, in addition to initiatives and innovations aimed at establishing sustainable practices in the aviation industry.
On the sidelines of the visit, His Highness also met with a number of CEOs of major exhibiting companies, where he was briefed on the most prominent trends and innovations that these companies are displaying within the exhibition’s activities, in addition to their future projects aimed at developing the aviation, space and defense sectors.
His Highness stressed that the innovative solutions offered by the Dubai Air Show this year in the fields of civil aircraft, drones and smart defense systems reflect the rapid development in the aviation and space sectors, pointing out the importance of adopting advanced technologies that enhance operational efficiency and raise the readiness of these vital sectors in the future.
His Highness noted the importance of the Dubai Airshow as an international platform that brings together the elite of specialized companies, experts and decision-makers from various countries of the world, stressing that this global event contributes to consolidating the position of the United Arab Emirates as a major center for innovation in the fields of aviation, space and defense, and opens broader horizons for cooperation and strategic partnerships at the regional and international levels.
His Highness was accompanied during the tour by His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; His Excellency Faisal Abdulaziz Al-Bannai, Advisor to the President of the State for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology, Secretary-General of the Advanced Technology Research Council; His Excellency Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; His Excellency Muhammad Ali Al-Shurafa, Head of the Department of Municipalities and Transport; His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Head of the Office of the Crown Prince in the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Major General Rashid Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence; Major General Mubarak Saeed Gavan Al Jabri, Assistant Minister of State for Digital Transformation, Technology and Artificial Intelligence at the Ministry of Defence, Executive Director of the Military Committee Organizing the Dubai Air Show, along with a number of senior officials and officers in the UAE Armed Forces.
