The Ministry of Culture launches a programme "We are happy with the big museum"
Within the framework of the “Pride of Egyptian Identity” initiative Launched by the Ministry of Culture, and investing in the momentum accompanying the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Ministry is preparing to launch an expanded cultural program at the beginning of next December under the title: “We are happy with the Grand Museum… and there are still many museums in Egypt.” Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture.
The program aims to introduce the public, especially school students, to the culture of visiting museums, and to shed light on Egypt’s huge and rich wealth of historical, national and qualitative cultural and artistic museums, in addition to instilling the values of respect for heritage and preserving Egyptian identity through awareness of the importance of Egyptian museum collections.
The Fine Arts Sector, headed by Dr. Walid Qanoush, prepared an expanded program for visiting art museums. And the nationalism affiliated with the sector, with the aim of providing the public with the opportunity to learn about the symbols of Egyptian culture and its intellectual and artistic history.
