المملكة: Free examinations and consultations at World Diabetes Day events in Al-Ahsa
His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr inaugurated Governor of Al-Ahsa, World Diabetes Day under the slogan “Your diabetes is balanced”, in a unique event hosted by the historic Ibrahim Palace, in the presence of the CEO of Al-Ahsa Health Cluster Dr. Khaled Al-Mulla and the leaders of Health sector.
This comes within the framework of a strategic plan aimed at raising the level of community awareness of the importance of early screening, and promoting the culture of prevention as a first line of defense against chronic diseases, in line with the goals of health transformation in the Kingdom.
Comprehensive presentation
The governor began the event by reviewing a comprehensive presentation highlighting the specific initiatives led by the Al-Ahsa Health Cluster to improve the quality of life, before giving the starting signal for the launch of the awareness package, where he focused Presenting the efforts made to move the health model from treatment to prevention, and enabling community members to adopt healthy lifestyles that contribute to reducing the spread of diabetes and its serious complications.
The inspection tour of Al-Ahsa Governorate witnessed the latest medical technologies used in monitoring and following up on diabetes cases, where he listened to a detailed explanation about the digital mechanisms that the health cluster employs to facilitate the patient’s treatment journey, and ensure the accuracy of measurements and continuous follow-up, which reflects the technical development witnessed by the health sector in the governorate to keep pace with international standards in medical care.
Interactive paths
The accompanying activities included various interactive paths that directly targeted visitors, including therapeutic nutrition corners that provide advice on appropriate diets, and areas designated for raising awareness of the importance of physical activity, in addition to stations for immediate examination and therapeutic guidance, with broad participation from specialized health and community agencies, to provide an integrated health experience that combines education and diagnosis in one place.
At the conclusion of his tour, Prince Saud bin Talal appreciated the efforts. The complementary efforts made by the Al-Ahsa Health Assembly and the participating parties, praising the excellence of the organization and the selection of historical landmarks as platforms for broadcasting awareness messages.
He stressed that these programs constitute an essential foundation for building a vibrant society whose members enjoy health and well-being, in light of the unlimited support that the health sector receives from the wise leadership.
