Emirates orders 8 additional A350-900 aircraft

Emirates, the world’s largest international air carrier, today announced the purchase of eight additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft, equipped with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines, during the 2025 Dubai Airshow.
The value of the new order is $3.4 billion at list prices, bringing the number of A350-900 aircraft in Emirates’ fleet to 73 aircraft upon completion of deliveries. To date, the carrier has received 13 aircraft of this type.
Emirates Airlines expects to begin deliveries of the additional new orders announced today during the year 2031.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, said: “The entry of the A350 aircraft into service since last November contributed to creating a qualitative operational boost that strengthened our ability to meet demand, and enabled us to expand the range of modern products that we offer on board, including the new premium economy class seats. We look forward to continuing to work with Airbus to accelerate the pace of deliveries of the remaining aircraft, including the aircraft we ordered today.”
His Highness added: “In addition to the Boeing 777-9 deal that we announced earlier this week, Emirates’ total orders for the latest wide-body aircraft rise to 375 aircraft. This expansion represents a strategic investment that consolidates our readiness for the future, enhances our ability to improve the travel experience for our customers, and supports the development of the global aviation sector by creating new economic opportunities and strengthening value chains in the industry.”

Emirates’ orders for A350 aircraft contribute to supporting tens of thousands of specialized, high-paying industrial jobs within European supply chains, going beyond major manufacturing countries such as France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain, to include a large number of other partner countries.
