7.972 billion dirhams, the value of the deals of the Ministry of Defense and Abu Dhabi Police on the third day of the Dubai Air Show

DUBAI, 19 November / WAM / The Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council “Tawazun” announced the conclusion of eight new deals for the benefit of the Ministry of Defense and Abu Dhabi Police during the third day of the Dubai Airshow 2025, with a total value of 7.972 billion dirhams, bringing the total number of deals signed during the first three days to 20 deals with a total value of 18.016 billion dirhams.

This came during the press conference held in the presence of Abdullah Ahmed Al-Saeedi and Mana Abdul Karim Al-Mansouri, official spokespersons for the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council.

Mana Al Mansouri explained that the third day’s deals included a group of contracts with national and international companies in the fields of defence, aviation and space, which contributes to strengthening the UAE’s defense and security industries system, supporting Emiratisation plans and transferring advanced technology to the country.

Local deals for the Ministry of Defense included the signing of two contracts with Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL), the first worth 6.794 billion dirhams to provide comprehensive maintenance services for aircraft and the second worth 96.8 million dirhams to provide specialized technical personnel for technical support.

A contract with International Golden Group was also announced to supply materials and equipment for pilots and aircraft rescue operations and spare parts, at a value of 154.5 million dirhams.

As for international deals, they included two contracts with the French company Thales, the first worth 53.5 million dirhams to maintain air radars and the second worth 177 million dirhams to provide maintenance and technical support services for aircraft.

It was also announced that two local contracts were signed for the benefit of Abu Dhabi Police with Abu Dhabi Aviation, the first worth 121.5 million dirhams for the supply and repair of helicopter spare parts and technical supplies, and the second worth 144.1 million dirhams for the maintenance, repair, services and management of helicopters.

An international deal was also signed with the Italian company Leonardo to purchase 5 aircraft for Abu Dhabi Police at a value of 430.2 million dirhams.

Abdullah Al-Saeedi stressed that these contracts reflect the diversity of partnerships led by the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council between the local and global sectors, noting that the Council seeks through them to enhance the national defense and security business environment and support the private sector’s contribution to developing innovative and sustainable solutions.

He said that the new deals come as a continuation of the Council’s efforts to build an advanced national defense system capable of competing globally, and reflect the state’s commitment to developing an integrated industrial sector based on knowledge and modern technology, in line with the national strategy for defense and security industries.
