Art installations and animated models embodying the slogan of the Islamic Arts Festival "Siraj"


Sharjah, 20 November / WAM / The 26th edition of the Islamic Arts Festival, which witnesses the participation of 170 artists from 24 countries presenting 473 artistic works, highlights the importance of highlighting Islamic arts through Emirati, Arab and international participation, reflecting the spirit of openness and diversity, and expressing the festival’s position as an artistic station that combines authenticity and innovation at the same time.
The Sharjah Art Museum includes artistic works ranging from architecture, artistic installations, sculptures, decorations, moving models, paintings and manuscripts, which embodied different visions of modern Islamic arts and their various schools in many countries of the world and reflected the festival’s slogan for this year, “Siraj.”
Among the most prominent works displayed in the museum are the artworks of Patricia Milnes from the United Kingdom entitled “Noor,” the artist Dr. Esther Mahlangu from South Africa entitled “Exploring the Heart, Mind and Spirit,” and Rashid Al Khalifa from the Kingdom of Bahrain entitled “Principles of Peace.”
From the Emirates, Aisha Al-Hammadi is participating with an artwork entitled “Serenity,” and Mahra Al-Falahi is participating with an artwork titled “A Fresh Glow: Garden of Light,” in addition to a work by artist Iman Al-Hashemi with a title derived from the Holy Qur’an, “And Everyone in an Orbit Swims.”
The participating works also include artworks by Polish artist Anna Krohilska, entitled “Factory Light,” and artist Eliza O from Canada, entitled “Sanctuary.”
