Secretary General "Federal National" He and his Hungarian counterpart discuss cooperation in Budapest
Budapest, November 20 / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Omar Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Federal National Council, and his counterpart, His Excellency Soch György, Secretary-General of the National Assembly of Hungary, during the meeting held at the Assembly’s headquarters in Budapest, discussed ways to enhance cooperation relations between the two secretariats in the technical and technical fields, the uses of artificial intelligence in supporting parliamentary work, and the mechanism for exchanging experiences in a number of specialized fields undertaken by the two secretariats, within the framework of the keenness to provide various forms of support for parliamentary work. The meeting, which was held as part of the official visit of the Council delegation to Hungary, was attended by His Excellency Afra Rashid Al Basti, Assistant Secretary-General for Parliamentary Communication.
His Excellency Dr. Omar Al Nuaimi stressed that the relations between the two sides will witness a qualitative development during the coming period, as a translation of the memorandum of understanding signed between the Federal National Council and the Hungarian National Assembly, praising the long history of the parliamentary process in Hungary, and the advanced systems that the Assembly applies in the various works and activities of Parliament.
He pointed out the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation and intensifying visits and meetings between the two sides at various levels, especially in regional and international parliamentary participations, pointing to the importance of coordination and cooperation during the meetings of the Secretaries-General held on the sidelines of the work of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, as these meetings are an important platform for exchanging knowledge, experiences and the latest parliamentary practices, enabling the secretariats to provide the best forms of support to their national parliaments.
For his part, His Excellency the Secretary General of the Hungarian National Assembly reviewed the experience of the General Secretariat in developing information technology and artificial intelligence systems, especially in managing the legislative process, the mechanism for documenting, preserving and retrieving parliamentary discussions, and the role of the Hungarian Parliament Library in providing cognitive support to members and guests.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Omar Al Nuaimi extended an official invitation to His Excellency Soch Giorgi to visit the UAE and the Federal National Council, to learn about the UAE parliamentary process and the specialized work mechanisms in the General Secretariat.
