Emirates Airlines and Flydubai…a partnership that enhances global connectivity

Dubai, November 20 / WAM / The Emirates Airlines and Flydubai partnership embodies a role model for cooperation in the aviation sector, as it connects millions of travelers through a vast global network.
According to a press release issued today, the two carriers transported more than 5 million passengers via codeshare flights during the past year alone, with a growth of 10% compared to last year. Since 2017, more than 22 million passengers have benefited from the combined network.
The Emirates fleet consists of 267 wide-body aircraft, including Airbus A380, A350 and Boeing 777 aircraft, while Flydubai relies on 96 Boeing B737 aircraft to operate its flights.
The Emirates and Flydubai partnership provides a joint network of 245 destinations in 103 countries. Emirates customers can access an additional 103 destinations via Flydubai, while Flydubai passengers can access 107 unique destinations within the Emirates network, and the most popular destinations include: Kathmandu, Baku, Krabi, Belgrade and Zanzibar.
New destinations such as Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Siem Reap, and Da Nang were added to the Emirates network this year, and Flydubai also launched flights to Chisinau, Iași, Vilnius, Riga and Nairobi.
Seat reservations in Emirates’ premium classes (First, Business and Premium Economy) rose by 20% last year, and premium economy class reservations through the partnership grew by 130%.
Emirates Skywards, the global award-winning joint loyalty program between Emirates and Flydubai, continues to offer a unified loyalty currency and exceptional rewards. Nearly 18 million members have earned more than 311 billion miles, and have redeemed 303 billion miles.
The program recently launched Classic Rewards, a simplified way to book flights using a fixed number of miles.
Travelers to and from Dubai benefit from both carriers’ investments in their products, as Emirates continues its massive program to modernize 220 aircraft from its entire fleet and add premium economy class cabins.
On the other hand, Flydubai retrofitted 15 aircraft this year as part of its fleet modernization program, in addition to launching a dedicated area for registering business class passengers in Terminal 2, which enhances the travel experience on the ground.
