The Ministry of Finance launches the second phase of the vocational training program in the partnership between the two sectors

DUBAI, 20 November / WAM / The Ministry of Finance organized the second phase of its professional training program specialized in partnership between the public and private sectors, as part of its efforts to deepen the skills of government cadres and enhance their capabilities in designing and evaluating sustainable projects in accordance with the highest international standards.

According to a press release issued today, this comes based on the success of the first phase, and with the aim of supporting the federal agencies to adopt this effective approach, in the presence of representatives from various federal agencies.

The training content at this stage is based on an internationally approved methodology and is supported by a number of international financial institutions such as the Asian Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Islamic Development Bank, and the World Bank Group.

His Excellency Saeed Rashid Al-Yateem, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for the Budget and Government Revenues Sector, confirmed that the launch of the second phase of the vocational training program reflects the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to developing the partnership system between the public and private sectors, by qualifying an elite group of federal and local government cadres with advanced skills based on the best international practices in preparing and evaluating projects.

His Excellency explained that the focus of the second phase on the level of project preparation enhances the ability of participants to apply internationally approved frameworks in the evaluation and preparation processes, which ensures the readiness of projects and raises the quality levels in the design and implementation of future partnership initiatives, pointing out that the Ministry continues to support national competencies and provide them with advanced professional tools that contribute to strengthening the partnership path in a way that serves the strategic directions of the UAE and establishes a development model that is consistent with the country’s priorities in the next stage.

20 representatives from federal and local agencies participated in the program, which reflects the commitment of government agencies to expanding the specialized knowledge base in this field. The program concludes with a professional test to measure the participants’ ability to apply partnership frameworks and project evaluation and preparation processes within the governmental context, in line with the highest international standards.
