The Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy International Show Jumping Cup launches its 13th edition

Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation “Mother of the Nation”, and under the guidance and follow-up of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Academy, President of the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and Al Ain Ladies Club, the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Academy is organizing Academy Cup competitions. Fatima Bint Mubarak International Show Jumping in its thirteenth edition for the year 2026 over a period of five days from January 13 to 16, 2026, the international championship and January 18, 2026, the local championship, which reflects the Academy’s vision in supporting sports excellence, organizing the championship at the highest levels, and linking local talents to the global competitive scene.

The total value of the prizes for the two tournaments is one million UAE dirhams.

The international championship witnesses the participation of an elite group of male and female riders from various countries of the world, through five competitive categories, held across 22 rounds.

These competitions contribute to attracting the best international horses and riders, and strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as the regional capital of show jumping, and an approved destination in the international championships calendar, from January 13 to 16, 2026 at the Al Forsan International Sports Resort in Abu Dhabi.

As part of its commitment to developing national competencies, the academy organizes the local championship for women, and focuses in particular on supporting female riders, by providing a professional competitive environment in line with international standards, and contributes to refining national talent and preparing them to participate in major tournaments.

The tournament will also witness an exceptional opening ceremony that includes various activities and celebrates efforts to support women’s sports, within the framework of an ambitious Emirati vision, on January 18, 2026 at the Emiri Stables in Abu Dhabi.

The 2026 edition of the tournament, which is considered one of the most prominent show jumping tournaments in the region, confirms the growing position of the United Arab Emirates and Abu Dhabi in particular as a global destination for equestrian sports, and a leading platform for hosting international tournaments according to the highest organizational and technical standards.

The Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women’s Sports confirmed that organizing this tournament is part of its strategy aimed at empowering women in the sports field, expanding the base for practicing equestrian sports, and supporting the development paths of professional female athletes, in line with the UAE’s vision of investing in sports as a sustainable development sector.

The tournament will be accompanied by the organization of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Festival, which includes a group of shops specializing in equestrian and sports, in addition to various restaurants, in addition to a package of family activities and entertainment workshops dedicated to children, providing an integrated experience for visitors of all ages.

It is expected that the 2026 edition will witness a wide turnout from fans and fans of equestrian sports, in addition to distinguished participation from the most prominent riders at the local and international levels, in a sporting event that combines competition, professionalism, and a purposeful community message.
