“Dragonfly” wins the Golden Pyramid Award at the conclusion of the Cairo Film Festival

The Cairo International Film Festival announced, during the closing ceremony of its 46th session, the results of the international competition, which included a jury composed of: Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Chairman of the Committee – Türkiye, Basma "actress – Egypt", Bogdan Morisanu, writer and director– Romania", Joan is "director – China", Nadine Khan"Director – “Egypt”, Simona Baggi “Monitor” – Italy, Leila Bouzid "Director – Tunisia.
The results of the competition were as follows: Henry Barakat Award for the best artistic contribution for photography in the film “City of Sands.” Sand City by photographer Matthew Geo Mbini.
Best Actress Award shared equally between: Andrea Riseborough and Brenda Andrew Williams for their performance in the film "Dragonfly" Dragonfly.
Best Actor Award goes to actor Majd Eid for his role in the movie “Once upon a time in Gaza.” Once Upon a Time in Gaza.
Naguib Mahfouz Award for Best Screenplay for the film “The Things That Kill” The Things You Kill, directed by Ali Reza Khatami.
Bronze Pyramid Award – $3,000 Special Jury Prize for “While We Breathe”
(As We Breath) by director Seamus Elton.
Silver Pyramid Award for Best Director, worth $5,000, goes to directors Tarzan and Arab Nasser for “Once Upon a Time in Gaza.” Once Upon a Time in Gaza.
The Golden Pyramid Award for Best Film, worth $7,000 – Awarded to the producer of the film "Dragonfly" (Dragonfly) directed by Paul Andrew Williams.
