The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi meets with the German Chancellor on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met today with Friedrich Merz, Chancellor of the friendly Federal Republic of Germany, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest and cooperation paths were discussed between the United Arab Emirates and the Federal Republic of Germany, in light of the close relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the fields of energy, development, innovation and advanced technology, which contributes to supporting the sustainable development plans of both sides.
The meeting discussed the agenda of the G20 Summit and the pivotal issues it contains related to global economic growth, development financing, strengthening supply chains, and ways to employ modern technological solutions and artificial intelligence techniques to support comprehensive and sustainable development paths globally.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination to ensure the implementation of the summit’s outcomes and their translation into reality, thus contributing to enhancing development paths and achieving prosperity for the peoples of member states and the entire world.
The meeting was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Mohammed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment, and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Head of the Crown Prince’s Office in the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.
