Al-Bataeh achieves a valuable victory over Kalba and leaves last place

Al-Bataeh team achieved its second victory in the current season of the ADNOC Professional League, after defeating its host Kalba with a score of (3-1) in the match that was held at Kalba Stadium this Saturday evening. With this victory, Al-Bataeh’s score increased to 6 points, while Kalba’s score froze at 11 points.
Although the stadium has a capacity of 8,000 fans, attendance was poor, with only about 250 spectators attending. Kalba’s goalkeeper, Sultan Al-Mundhiri, emerged as the best player in the match after saving several scoring chances, which contributed to saving his team from a greater loss.
The Kalba Mohebi player was sent off in the 17th minute after a rough intervention on Al-Bataeh player Marwan Fahd, and the video technology was used to change the yellow card to a direct red.
The match witnessed several interruptions due to injuries, which affected the actual playing time. Al-Bataeh controlled the course of the match, while Kalba’s first real attack came from Walid Rashid, who shot from outside the penalty area, and Al-Bataeh goalkeeper Abdul Rahman Mubarak responded valiantly in the 30th minute.
Al-Bataeh opened the scoring through Cameroonian player Anatoly Bertrand in the 41st minute, then Saud Khalil added the second goal in the 47th minute. While Kalba reduced the gap after Guinean Al-Bataeh player Omar Keita scored an own goal in the 52nd minute. Al-Bataeh concluded their goals with a counterattack, from which player Tefoni Junior scored the third goal in the fifth minute of stoppage time (90+5).
