With a large presence… Bouchnak, Al-Jundi and Al-Jabarti conclude the evening "Singing in classical Arabic"


The singing evening hosted by the King Abdulaziz Center for World Cultural Theater (Ithra) in Dhahran, activities for singing in classical Arabic, with the participation of three of the most prominent Arab voices: the Tunisian artist Lotfi Bouchnak, the Lebanese artist Walaa Al-Jundi, and the Saudi artist Nawaf Al-Jabarti, in the midst of a large audience who lived an artistic experience that blends the beauty of the poem and the spirit of authentic singing.

The evening came in partnership between The Music Authority and the Punch Mark Company, in continuation of the efforts of both parties to highlight the value of classical Arabic in the Arab singing scene, and to support artistic experiments that present poetic texts in modern musical forms, combining authenticity and innovation.

Lutfi Bouchnak presented a group of works that reflected the depth of the Arab experience in singing in classical Arabic, with his operatic voice and the strength of his well-known performance.

Oriental musical selections

Walaa Al-Jundi touched on its feeling. The calm and beautiful presence of her presence spirited the audience through oriental musical selections that intersected with the aesthetics of the classical text.

While Nawaf Al-Jabarti presented works that blended Saudi identity with contemporary musical touches, making his presence a qualitative addition to the evening.

The tripartite participation at the end of the evenings reflected the ability of classical Arabic song to keep pace with the development of the Arabic song, and its continued influence on the musical conscience, through a fine artistic presentation that re-presents the Arabic poem in a modern and attractive spirit that enhances its status.
