The Minister of Industry reviews the Kingdom’s efforts in empowering less developed countries

Minister Al-Khorayef spoke about the international mining conference hosted by the Kingdom annually and its role in empowering the least developed countries, indicating that the conference brought together countries such as Burundi, Chad, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Mauritania, and Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia and others, as countries that effectively contribute to formulating discussions related to sustainability, creating added value, and developing capabilities for a promising future in the world’s mining and metals sector.

He said: "The International Mining Conference was not created to impose solutions on countries, but rather to provide a platform through which countries can express their vision of how to invest their mineral resources and shape their ambitious future."

He concluded his speech by highlighting the importance of the Conference of the Least Developed Countries and the dialogue it includes, pointing out that development is not a single pattern, nor is it limited to a country or group, but rather it is the right of every country to achieve its comprehensive development goals, and to enhance the growth and prosperity of its economy, for the benefit of the peoples of those countries.
