A comprehensive package of services and guidance intended for travelers

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the launch of the “From the Emirates We Travel” campaign in preparation for the winter holiday season and coinciding with the state’s school holiday extending from December 8, 2025 until January 4, 2026, as part of its proactive efforts aimed at promoting a culture of conscious and safe travel for all travelers from the country during this period, confirming its full readiness and readiness to provide support and care and provide immediate response around the clock through an integrated system of innovative digital services that were developed to meet the needs of various segments of society.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Omar Obaid Al-Hussan Al Shamsi, confirmed that the launch of the “From the Emirates We Travel” campaign comes in response to the directives of the wise leadership, which places the various segments of society at the top of national priorities, and is keen to ensure that the care and support system extends to every individual inside and outside the country.

He added that the Ministry, in line with this approach, is working within its strategic plans to develop and provide a comprehensive package of services and guidance intended for travelers, taking into account various travel requirements and keeping pace with updates related to countries’ destinations, thus enhancing the readiness of the direct support system and immediate response around the clock, especially during travel seasons that witness a significant increase in the number of travelers.

In the same context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs urges those wishing to travel during the winter holiday season to review the travel instructions that are updated in real time via the Ministry’s website or smart application, ensure that the passport is valid for a period of no less than six months, and issue visas to companions well in advance of travel, stressing the importance of reviewing entry requirements and updates to countries, ensuring the presence of international health insurance that covers the entire trip period, in addition to adhering to the laws and traffic regulations in the destination country, keeping electronic copies of official documents, and placing the originals in safe places at the residence. During travel, in addition to dealing with international and reliable reservation offices, hotels, and cars, following up on alerts issued by the authorities in the destination country, especially in cases of crises and emergencies, and avoiding wearing valuable or rare possessions, especially in gatherings and crowded places.

The Ministry also calls on the Emirati traveler to register himself and his family in the “My presence” service via its website, smart application, or WhatsApp application, and to keep the emergency number designated for the country’s citizens abroad, 0097180024, which is available around the clock to provide support and care when needed, noting that it also provides an Emirati traveler services card that includes a quick response code, and can be obtained when leaving one of the country’s airports, which gives quick and immediate access to a number of specially designed services. For citizens of the country, the most prominent of which is the service of issuing a return document within 30 minutes in the event of loss, damage, or expiration of the passport, or upon the return of newborns, and the travel guidance page according to each destination, which is an interactive page that updates in real time and provides the most important information and travel advice according to each country, in addition to a page that includes all country entry updates for the year 2025.

On a related level, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides a package of consular services designated for holders of golden residency in cooperation with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, which includes issuing a return document within just 30 minutes in the event of loss or damage of the passport while the holder of golden residency is outside the country, and providing a hotline around the clock via the number 0097124931133 to answer inquiries and provide support, in addition to including golden residency holders in the evacuation plans provided to the country’s citizens abroad during emergency situations. Emergencies, disasters and crises, facilitating the procedures for transporting the body and burial within the country upon the death of the golden residency holder abroad, and providing the necessary support to the family of the deceased.
