"Sharjah Electricity" It installed 3,650 lighting poles and carried out 32,432 maintenance operations in ten months

Sharjah, 23 November, WAM / The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority completed the installation and operation of 3,650 road lighting poles, and carried out 32,432 maintenance operations for road lighting assets, in addition to extending the road lighting network to a length of 146,258 meters in the city of Sharjah, during the period from the beginning of this year until the end of October 2025.
Engineer Ahmed Al-Bass, Deputy Director of the Electricity Distribution Department, confirmed that the lighting projects implemented by the Authority in various regions of the Emirate of Sharjah are carried out according to the best specifications and standards, as the lighting network is designed to suit the secondary and main roads and highways, whether in terms of the distances between the poles, their height, or determining the number of floodlights that will be installed on the poles.
He pointed out that the work teams at the Electricity Distribution Department are working on designing, approving and implementing lighting networks after studying and auditing the project in a way that suits the road sizes for the optimal distribution of poles and floodlights.
He added that the Authority continues to provide the best services for projects in all regions, stressing that lighting projects are among the vital and necessary projects that decorate the streets and achieve security and safety for residents and vehicle drivers on the roads.
