"Cyber security": "Cyber Q" It kicks off on Wednesday in Abu Dhabi with the participation of experts from 100 countries

Abu Dhabi, November 24 / WAM / The activities of the second edition of the “Cyber Q” conference, organized by the UAE Government Cyber Security Council under the slogan “When Quantum, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Meet,” will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, at the ADNEC Abu Dhabi Center, and its work will continue until November 27 with wide international participation.
“Cyber Q 2025” in Abu Dhabi brings together experts, decision-makers and leaders from various sectors representing more than 100 countries, to discuss the transformative impact of quantum computing and artificial intelligence on cybersecurity. The sessions will address attacks supported by artificial intelligence, automation of defenses, and the urgent need to move to post-quantum technologies. The conference will also highlight progress in the field of quantum cryptography.
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Government Cybersecurity Council, said that in line with the directives of the wise leadership, the holding of the “Cyber Q” conference for the second year in a row comes to reaffirm the UAE’s leading position as a global data center, and to shape the future of the digital and cyber fields.
He added that the second edition of the conference this year focuses on the topics of cryptography and quantum computing and their relationship to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, in light of the need to address the challenges of quantum security, especially since quantum computers have become capable of solving some of the most complex mathematical problems with high efficiency, which calls on us to reconsider traditional encryption methods.
Al-Kuwaiti stressed the importance of continuing development in the field of cybersecurity in parallel with the development of quantum technologies, to ensure that digital foundations remain solid in the face of new complex threats. He pointed out that organizing the CyberQ conference for the second year in a row is an important step to exchange experiences, enhance cooperation and coordination at the international and regional levels, and advance collective preparations for a future in which quantum capabilities bring about radical transformations in both threats and opportunities.
The activities of the “Cyber Q” conference include specialized presentations and interactive sessions that include automatic encryption detection solutions and risk assessment tools, in addition to practical presentations from leading institutions such as the Technology Innovation Institute that focus on real applications of quantum key distribution techniques and communication resistant to quantum attacks.
The conference sessions also include discussions on post-classical encryption techniques, and cryptographic flexibility that allows dynamic transition between algorithms safely and smoothly. The importance of post-classical encryption techniques lies in providing strong protection against quantum computing threats that may break traditional encryption algorithms, ensuring the confidentiality and security of data in the future. Cryptographic flexibility also allows dynamic and smooth transition between different encryption algorithms without affecting the continuity or security of the system, allowing rapid adaptation to new technical developments and security vulnerabilities, and ensuring continuity of protection with minimal cost and effort.
The conference includes presentations by specialized companies that provide realistic solutions in the areas of risk analysis, compliance, and integration with modern infrastructure, and applied sessions that combine research innovation and industrial application in the fields of quantum security, cyber artificial intelligence, and emerging risks such as organized cyber crime and how to confront them, thus enhancing the UAE’s leadership in formulating cyber security solutions at the global level.
CyberQ 2025 is a call to action for governments, researchers and innovators to collaborate on building a reliable and resilient quantum era.
Holding the Cyber Q Conference for the second year in a row reflects the efforts of the Cyber Security Council to enhance the exchange of experiences at the regional and international levels and contribute to shaping the future of cyber security, confirming the country’s leadership role in the cyber and digital fields and confronting, and examining the profound effects of quantum computers and their impact on information security.
The conference also highlights the urgent need to understand emerging threats due to developments in quantum technology, and provide forward-looking visions to government agencies and industry leaders about protecting vital cyber systems, by benefiting from various experiences in technical fields, and bringing together thought and opinion leaders and experts to enhance mutual knowledge and enhance the country’s position as a leading center for data and digital services at the global level.
