Dubai Police warns of platforms promoting deceptive investment offers

Dubai Police, represented by the Anti-Fraud Center in the General Department of Criminal Investigations and Investigations, has warned community members against dealing with companies or platforms that promote deceptive investment offers, claiming to achieve fixed monthly profits of up to 10% without any risks, stressing that these offers carry clear indications of fraudulent practices aimed at luring victims and seizing their money.

Dubai Police explained that some of these companies promote through social media platforms and sponsored electronic advertisements, and use the names and logos of well-known financial institutions to create the illusion of credibility, while in reality they operate without any official license from the regulatory authorities in the country, pointing out that the fraudsters adopt a method known as the pyramid system or fictitious returns, where money is collected from new investors to pay temporary profits to previous victims before those companies suddenly disappear.

Dubai Police stressed that achieving a monthly return of 10% or more is unrealistic in the regulated investment environment, as high returns cannot be guaranteed without corresponding risks, and that such allegations are among the most prominent warning indicators of the existence of a financial fraud.

Dubai Police called on the public to be extremely careful and not be carried away by deceptive promises of quick returns, stressing the need to verify company licenses through the relevant official authorities before investing or transferring any amounts of money, calling on individuals to immediately report any suspicious activities or advertisements via the platform. eCrime Or call 901.

In conclusion, Dubai Police stressed that confronting financial fraud is a shared responsibility, and that raising community awareness represents the first line of defense to protect individuals from falling victim to such criminal methods.
