Fujairah Research Center: Beekeeping increases crop production by 35%

Fujairah, November 25 / WAM / The Fujairah Research Center confirmed that bees contribute directly to raising the productivity of agricultural crops, and that research results have shown that raising them can increase crop production by up to 35%, as a result of the effective and continuous pollination process they carry out.

The center carries out advanced scientific studies that highlight the vital role of bees in enhancing food security and protecting biodiversity, as they are the most influential factor in the natural pollination process associated with the multiplication of plants and trees and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural production.

The center works to develop specialized research programs to study local bee breeds and create the appropriate environment for producing the finest honey, in addition to developing techniques to preserve the natural habitats of bees and confront the environmental challenges affecting their stability.

The center also seeks to spread awareness of the importance of protecting bees, and to support farmers in adopting environmentally friendly agricultural methods that ensure the preservation of biodiversity and the sustainability of agricultural production.
