"Distribution platform" The presence of Emirati publishers at the Al Ain Book Festival was enhanced
Sharjah, 25 November / WAM / Manasa Distribution Company is participating in the activities of the 16th edition of the Al Ain Book Festival, which was launched by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center yesterday at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, with the participation of 75 Emirati publishing houses, enriching the event with a wide range of local creativity, as part of its keenness to support national initiatives aimed at spreading culture and knowledge and consolidating the position of books in society.
Platform Distribution’s presence in this prominent cultural event embodies its firm commitment to supporting Emirati creators and advancing the local book industry, capitalizing on the momentum witnessed by the festival with its various programs of book fairs, author sessions, creative workshops, and activities directed to families and young people, held in heritage sites and public destinations that reflect the spirit of the city of Al Ain and its rich cultural memory.
The company provides festival visitors with the opportunity to enter new worlds that inspire thought and imagination by presenting 494 titles covering various fields of knowledge and literature from the most prominent productions of participating publishing houses, with a total of about two thousand books, which contributes to enhancing the spread of local content and highlighting Emirati creativity that now occupies a competitive position in the world of regional and global publishing.
His Excellency Rashid Al-Kous, General Manager of Manasa Distribution Company, stressed that the Al Ain Book Festival represents a vital space for strengthening the community’s connection to books and knowledge, and recalling the historical role that the city of Al Ain played in preserving the oral and literary heritage through its ancient councils, markets, and narrators, who formed a rich cultural memory that continues today through pioneering knowledge initiatives such as this festival.
