"Businesswomen’s Councils Forum 2025 "Establishes a roadmap for the circular economy

Sharjah, 25 November / WAM / Yesterday, in the Aljada area of Sharjah, the Sharjah Businesswomen Council organized the third edition of the “Businesswomen’s Councils Forum” 2025 under the slogan “Empowering communication… enhancing influence… building the future”, in cooperation with the “Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council” and the “French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Emirates”.
The third edition of the forum, which will be held this year in the UAE, brought together an elite group of leadership figures, decision-makers and influencers in the field of business sustainability, education and innovation to discuss the future of the circular economy in the United Arab Emirates and the role of resilient communities and human-centered business models in accelerating the pace of comprehensive and sustainable development.
The forum was attended by Sheikha Hind bint Majid Al Qasimi, Chairwoman of the Sharjah Businesswomen’s Council, Agnes Lopez-Cruz, Director of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Emirates, and a number of business leaders and officials.
Sheikha Hind bint Majid Al Qasimi said: “Women contribute to charting the course of the economy in the United Arab Emirates and building its future. Through innovation, inclusion, and institutional efforts, women contribute to building sustainable business models that are able to compete at the global level. Women influence national growth priorities. Women’s leadership is not just a symbolic term, but an organizational reality that embodies their participation in charting the course of economic development and ensuring the flexibility of the process of progress, development, and prosperity.”
She added that this forum is a strategic platform for coordinating efforts, exchanging visions, and accelerating the impact of women’s projects throughout the UAE. Our partnership with the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Emirates reflects our unified approach towards achieving economic inclusion based on practical cooperation. Together, we will provide the appropriate environment to enhance innovation and expand its scope, build stronger and more interconnected networks, and achieve measurable practical results that enhance women’s leadership in the economy at the national, regional and global levels.
For her part, Agnes Lopez-Cruz said: “Our participation in the third edition of this forum embodies our commitment to our strategic partnership with the Sharjah Businesswomen Council and the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council, as our cooperation is based on shared values and a firm commitment to advancing comprehensive and sustainable economic growth. We express our thanks to everyone who contributed to organizing this forum and turning it into a stimulating platform for purposeful projects, innovation and long-term positive impact.”
The forum opened its program with a discussion session titled “The New Model: Promoting the Circular Economy.” The speakers discussed how companies and institutions can move from traditional models to circular models without losing revenues. The second session was titled “A Year of Impact: A New Era of Community Building” and focused on community-based approaches in the sectors of crafts, sustainability, and financial inclusion.
While the third session was entitled “The Unbreakable Core: Human Skills and Education,” it reviewed the importance of human capabilities such as creativity, critical thinking, and emotional and cultural intelligence in the age of artificial intelligence and the necessity of education adapting to industry quickly, in addition to highlighting the importance of cooperation between universities and companies with the aim of developing talent and enhancing their efficiency and readiness for the future, in addition to providing practical and flexible educational environments.
The forum program concluded with a discussion session entitled “Circular Innovation: From Idea to Application,” which discussed how circular economic practices go beyond raw materials to include talent development and creative collaboration.
