The United Nations launches a process to elect a new Secretary-General to succeed Guterres

Today, the process of electing the new Secretary-General of the Antonio Guterres as Secretary-General of the Organization.
The UN Security Council will formally recommend a candidate to the General Assembly for election as the tenth Secretary-General of the United Nations later next year.
